It’s impossible to talk about the history of Casinos without talking about Guy Sirre, a tireless traveler and a lover of food that has been around the world in the search of new flavours, aromas and textures, with the idea of creating an unique restaurant that brings together in its menu the cultural essence of all his travels.
Guy was aware that such project needed a very special location, and he found it in an old two stories Andalusian palace in the heart of Marbella Old Town, living history of a city that is worldwide reference in terms of tourism.
The ground floor of this palace holds a beautiful central patio, with an old well that works perfectly, a cozy dining room and a terrace directly on Calle Ancha, the most charming street of the Old Town and a must see on any trip to Marbella. Upstairs you find a room that looks like something out of a story tale. High ceilings decorated with wooden beams, a rustic fireplace that contrasts with the walls painted with tropical motifs, designed by artist and friend Aldo Gigli.
The name “Casanis” coins the attractive of the French Riviera and the mediterranean influence in our kitchen, but once you visit the restaurant it becomes much more than a name. Casinos is a feeling, a way of understanding life, a dream, a song… an invisible thread that connects all of us in the team Casanis and that we use to “bind” each and everyone of our guests.
